ABOUT Robin
Robin has been a social worker practicing in the field of child welfare since 2012. She grew up with her single mother who became a licensed foster parent in 1989, when Robin was 3, and fostered over 100 children until her retirement in 2018.
In 2016, Robin’s work shifted from direct practice with families, to supporting the practitioners of child welfare in a training and coaching capacity, helping caseworkers and leadership through the negative conditions caused by this work due to Compassoin Fatigue, Vicarious and Secondary Trauma, and Burnout.
Robin’s lifetime of experience in the child welfare system has shaped a unique understanding of the need for spiritual wellbeing, especially in connecting with Divine Feminine principles associated with nurturing love and compassion. These qualities become fatigued in helping professions, which are predomintately filled by women, and spiritual connection is needed to re-fill our soul’s cup in order to keep giving.
In these uncertain times when religion is more often used as an excuse for war, there is a desparate need for true spiritual connection, to eachother, to nature, and to the Divine. To know there is a purpose to all the toil & strife of this life and to find the faith that there is a unique gift you alone are meant to bring into this world.
