Correspondence
Who am I to the miniscule spider,
But a Goddess of such scale and might
As to be incomprensible?
A Being whose breath is a cycloning Hurricane
To blow that tiny body into oblivion.
This sovereign Being with power to save and destroy.
What life can garner my attention?
What Mercy guides me to look down and see
These Other Beings shaped so differently?
Such sweet Diversity
Shining bright for all to see
Beyond a veil of size and scale
From the infinitesmal to the infinite.
These powers that be
Shine forth through you and me
And reflect back in perfect harmony.
When love-inspired, my sweet Mercy
Comes back to me from beyond Eternity
Reminding me of my own Nature
No greater than the miniscule spider.
